Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese origin and grew up in Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family which has strong roots in the South of America. Olivia was just two years old when her parents split up. Her family consisted of both her mother and stepfather who was an United States Air Force member. Her primary residence was Tokyo, Japan, even though the family moved around often. During that time she was involved in many performances of the local theater, and went on to become a Japanese fashion model. Olivia was a model who been living with her parents in Los Angeles in order to fulfil her dream to be an actor and continued working towards this goal when the family moved back to the United States. Then, after some small roles in TV shows that featured Hawaii lenses (such like Beyond the Break), she won the role Mily Acuna, and was offered Rob Schneider's receptionist for Big Stan. She hosts the popular podcasts "Formula D", "The Daily Nut" as well as "The Daily Nut". Surfing is her passion as she has practiced it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). Black belts are hers in taekwondo. When she was two, her mom remarried. The second time, she got married to an US Air Force serviceman. While the family moved several times, she was predominantly born within Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. Attending the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalist with minors in Japanese and dramatic art.
